So now here is my problem: I have uninstalled and reinstalled the AA3 version from the Adobe website using the suggested link, but the program still won't launch.

While we would expect the company that we purchased a product from to stand in the gap and help their customers, at least there are people like you who are kind enough to offer their help and expertise to those of us who need it.
